jpg is not an authorized file extension

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to upload an image file to the system, and it supports the following formats: .jpg, .png, .bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .ico, .svg.

I’m uploading a PNG file, but I keep getting this error message:

jpg is not an authorized file extension

gdo_0-1755866205148.png

I already checked that the file has a .png extension, but the error still shows up. I also tried renaming the file, but it didn’t help.
I am trying to add a picture and icon to a order guide

Has anyone faced this before? Could it be that the file is being detected as JPG even though it has a PNG extension? If so, what’s the best way to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @gdo

  1. Remove .jpg from the property and save it.

  2. Clear the cache and log out/in.

  3. Test to see if the error is still present.

  4. Now, add .jpg back to the property.

  5. Clear the cache and log out/in again.

  6. Test to verify if the error occurs.

Hi @gdo,

sometimes the file is "image.png" but can in fact it can be .jpg (it was just misused)...

Anyways.. Navigate to System Properties > Security:

GlideFather_0-1755867232429.png

And review the enabled extensions.. please share that with us to see it
