Knowledge Portal - article content not displaying

Hi,
In our custom Service Portal the links to our knowledge articles appear to have broken.
We have simple list widgets on various pages displaying relevant knowledge articles and they are configured to link to the kb_article_view page
When click on a knowledge article I am getting the following result - no knowledge article is displayed
I tried changing from kb_article_view to kb_article which I don't think is the correct solution as I believe this plug in is being deprecated but that did then return the title of the knowledge article but not the content
We don't use the Knowledge homepage only this kb_article_view one.
If anyone could offer any pointers it would be much appreciated - thank you!

Hi @ClareM,
Is your knowledge base attached to the portal?
If not, navigate to Service Portal > Portals.
Open your portal record and in the "knowledge bases" related list add the knowledge base.
