Label variable as mandatory on service catalog form

Hi,

Currently, we are on Madrid Version.

We have a requirement to create the Label Variable and under it, there are multiple checkboxes.

Now under every checkbox, there is a single-line text variable "specify existing user id or New" which should become mandatory when the checkbox is selected above it.

Now the issue is If I try to make the single-line text variable as Mandatory using UI policy then checkbox above it is becoming as mandatory.

We don't want the checkbox to become mandatory instead we want the label variable "Which mainframe system do you require access to" as a mandatory red asterisk. Atleast one checkbox selection is required.

I have tried by enabling the "Selection Required" on checkboxes, but it is not working properly.

Please help with your suggestions.

The requirement is to make the label as mandatory instead of each checkbox.

Thank you.

Hello,

Unfortunately, you didn't include a screenshot of your UI policy as I'm not sure how it's making the checkbox mandatory...but....

normally (without those text fields there)...to get the label to show as mandatory, but require at least 1 checkbox checked you would set your UI policy as such:

condition section:

all checkboxes is false

variable field section at bottom of ui policy:

place the first checkbox field as mandatory

That's it.

So then...you would set up three additional UI policies for each checkbox that when true...

variable section at bottom contains the related text field as mandatory and visible.

Please check for reverse if false and make it necessary. My guess is that is causing this issue
