Language picker to be disabled or grayed out from ITSM home but not CSM or any portla page

Hi,

I have a requirement to hide Language picker from ITSM view but not from any portal csm/ sp.

Easy solution was setting  glide.ui.language_picker.enabled  set to false. But doing that it takes off the Langauge picker from both ITSM(nav_to.do) as well as Portals liek csm or sp etc.... That's not desired.

Is there a way we can disable/gray out by any means the language picker in ITSM(nav_to.do) "System Settings" in "General" Tab but make it still operational and selectable in Portals(foe e.g. sp/csm) when we go to respective Logged in portal-user's profile?

Below are the steps on how we can disable language picker in your instance -

* Type sys_properties.list on the left navigation bar and press enter
* Click on the "New" button
* Fill in the following fields -
- Name = "glide.ui.language_picker.enabled"
- Type = "true | false"
- Value = "false"
* Save / Submit the record
* Refresh the whole page

I already pointed in my query that I know this solution which you advised but pitfall is its a glide ui property which restricts the language picker both in system settings UI as well as portal. I don't want language picker to be restricted in portal thats the major ask.

I wouldn't suggest a customization to prevent this specifically for one UI over another, so could you clarify how it's set up for you in your portal? Are you just referring to the language picker on the Avatar's profile page? or do you have a different type of set-up?
