M2M Related List - Set fields from parent when clicking New

Hi, all - 

I am trying to set fields from the parent on the child when I use the New button in the related M2M list.

I can't use the parent refence field on the M2M table itself, since the record isn't created until I submit the child.

I'm sure this is an easy thing to do - I just couldn't find what I was looking for in the community.  Thanks in advance!

Can you tell me how are you doing this? are you using Business Rule? Please share more details, if possible with the script created
