Make catalog item mandatory when variables External in location is selected

How to create logic that will make the catalog item mandatory to be completed when the 'external' option is selected in the location field in the previous form?

That cannot be done using the OOB order guide widget functionality. You will have to customize the widget and add that sort of logic your self. Not something I would recommend as servicenow changes the logic in that widget quite often
