Hello, folks.
I am new to ServiceNow and a lot of things are not understandable to me.
This is one of them:
I have categories and subcategories in my test application.
There are dependencies:
Bills
Creation
Cancellation
Payment
Expenses
Internal
External
General requests
Internal
External
After submitting a request form I am linked to a form where I can edit more information the subcategory's field is mandatory but read-only even for me (admin).
What is the reason for it?
In the dictionary, this field is not marked as read-only.
In Client-Script and UI Policies, there is also no information about this issue.
What should I do?

The subcategory is List Look type.
See the Incident Sub category field type.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

This inability to edit also exists after submitting on several other fields.

I see you impersonated with Able and he may not have the required role.
Do one thing
Right click in context menu
configure - All
And see any Client script / UI policy is blocking thsi (Do with your user / admin)
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

It was because of the Calculated Value in the Dictionary)
