We have a requirement to make 'Business impact' field mandatory when Proposing and promoting Major Incident. We did it in native view by updating the UI Pages. We are not able to do it in SOW as we don't have much experience in UI Builder. We are not sure how this can be achieved.

ServiceNow does not recommend making changes here, so it's best not to modify anything.

To achieve that you need to do some steps in UI Builder,
1.Open UI Builder and on top select the page collections named as SOW Record Page Modals
2.Scroll down and select the Promote to Major Incident Page Variant and on the top center select the settings and as this is the Read-Only Page Duplicate that page and inactive the OOB Page Variant.
3.On the top center, select the editor for the variant your are duplicated and now it will open in UI Builder.
4.Here on the left side scroll down until you found, MI Business Impact and select that .On the right side Configuration, Scroll down and check the Required check box.
5.On the Left side, Scroll down until you found Promote Button. For this promote button , on the right side we can see the Disabled Property click on that and add the following script there,

}After doing all the above steps , now the promote to major incident pop-up will work as expected.
