Missing system fields

Hello,

Similar to another question on this forum (Missing out-of-the-fox fields), I cannot locate any of the sys fields like sys_created_on, sys_class_name, etc., in the UI.

I have a new default developer instance from just 2 days ago and I haven't changed anything in the environment, but whenever I use the UI to look at any table, like Incident, or Change, etc, and I click on the filter button, and then Choose Field (in order to create a new filter for a REST query later on), I can never find any of the sys_ fields in the drop-down menu.

Please advise as I don't have a clue what I'm missing here.

Thanks!

Brendan

Hi Brendan,

So basically the labels will be displayed in the list and not column names...I.e created label column is sys_created_on..Make sense?

Hi Brendan,

Can you go to the dictionary and make sure that the active field is checked to true for that fields.

Sorry, I'm new to this...

So System Definition -> Dictionary...?

No matter what I try to type after that (like sys_created_on), I get back 15,000 + entries.

I tried to narrow it to a table called Change Request. Still 15,000+ entires.

Hey Brendan,

My bad, I assumed it was the custom fields. However for the system fields it should not be the case.

Can you check if the response from the below thread helps.

Missing out-of-the-box fields (sys_created, sys_created_on...) on table

That's the message I referred to at the top of my post! I don't understand it.

How would I access "Task"... And in fact, what is it and how does it relate to the Change Request table that I am trying to access the "sys_" fields for?

Thanks,

Brendan
