Hello,
We are on New York (New York Patch 1 Hot Fix 1a) and I am trying to configure the mobile Agent app. In our classic app, we have a "button" that our VIPs use to submit incidents with one touch. It doesn't require them to input anything, just click on the button and an incident is created and submitted to our Service Desk. The short description and description are pre-filled in a way that alerts the SD that this is an important incident to address first.
Now that we are preparing to transition to Now Agent, I am trying to recreate the same button in this new app. But, it's a completely different world, not being HTML 5 anymore (the classic button calls a script include/UI page with a redirect back to the home page). I'm reading about functions and applets and action items but the most I've been able to do is add a "Create New" option to a menu. How do I separate that functionality into a button or applet that will sit in the Incidents Applet Launcher alongside the other OOB list applets? Can someone point me in the right direction or give me the steps necessary in a nutshell?
Thanks in advance for your help! I'm getting myself badly confused trying to navigate this brand new interface.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? I need to create an applet that will create an incident for a VIP w/o requiring any input. Have played with creating an action item, but can't seem to tie it to an applet. I've tried creating a top menu "Create VIP Incident" action, but it doesn't pull in the user name and other details particular to the user. Any hints? Point me, please, I'm floundering. Very disappointed that this most basic of functions isn't more doable.

Since the end user and agent apps are separate have you thought about having the VIP's use the NOW Mobile app instead of the Agent app and just have a catalog item that does the same thing?

Another option is to add the Services item to the menus for the Agent Mobile. I know that is what we did and it works well. That way Services shows on both the Agent Mobile as well as the Now Mobile apps.
