Ah, sorry, I misunderstood. I'm not aware of a way to modify the PDF export column size.

I would like to know this as well. I want to put the description on my reports, but there is too much text, and the fixed width column size makes my reports several pages long. I don't want to have to jump through hoops by exporting to Excel and formatting and then sending it out to my customers. I would like to know if there is a way to do this in Service Now.

If you can't find a way to do it within ServiceNow, you can use Explore Analytics to create a list report like this:
You'll notice the list resizes with the browser, and long fields content can be shown by hovering, or by double clicking on the right-edge of the column header to automatically resize for the list.
If you're authenticated, you can click through the links to get to the SN records; the key thing is that Explore Analytics reports are live (if you want) and embed in dashboards or other HTML portals. That way you don't have to do the automated work of exporting to excel and formatting.
We can also fluidly resize charts:
Incidents Opened, Resolved, and Backlog by Week
The chart above resizes with the browser window, and you can also use the timeline controls to zoom in or out of the data, show/hide the data with the legend, change the time span in the header, and more. It gives the viewer a lot of flexibility to view the reports the way they want to.
