Modify Existing workflows

Hi,

 

I need to modify the two workflows Knowledge - Approval Publish and Knowledge - Approval Retire . I've attached an image of this workflow. Here, one stage called Approval-User is given. I want to modify it and change it into Approval-group and assign it to a group. I opened it, but it seems to be read-only. How can I modify this?

Hello @NishaB,

 

As per the best practise, please do not modify existing ServiceNow configurations. Instead you can make copy of it and do required modifications. And then use the modified copy wherever necessary.

 

I have just done the copy of KB workflow and it works.

Hi @NishaB 

 

I agree with @Rajesh_Bhise  Changing the out-of-the-box (OOTB) workflow is not recommended, as it may cause issues during updates and slow down ServiceNow. Additionally, modifying the workflow and transitioning to a new flow could create complications. If you still wish to proceed, you should first review the workflow and then add the necessary conditions.
