Monitoring of Self Hosted ServiceNow Environment

We are looking for best practices to monitor a self-host on-premise ServiceNow installation. We are using RedHat and MySQL on top of VMware. Solar Winds is our monitoring tool which comes with some Linux out of the box monitoring. However, we would like to know what additional ServiceNow specific file systems, processes etc. should be monitored to get the full picture of the availability of our ServiceNow production instance.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks

There is a KB on HI that might be useful:

Hi, Sorry don't have details for Solar Winds or self hosted monitoring but system funcamentals should be same. Have you referred to this doc   for performance monitoring - http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=System_Performance_Best_Practices#gsc.tab=0

also you may find this community thread interesting Performance Graphs: What should you monitor in your instance?

I am not sure about your company instance , if they are opened to be monitored by ServiceNow for availability ? Apart from the details from above, I would also look for specifics to your company like system uptime, CPU usage, email lag, Semaphores etc.

Hope this helps a bit.
