Monitoring URL clicks from a Portal Page

On our Portal page we contain URL links to other outside Servicenow pages. Can a count be kept to keep track of how many time users click on these URLs? Not the user but the clicks.

we already now how to 'ADD' links, the client is asking to know how many times the user actually clicks (count only) on the each link. They are looking at developing some metrics from the counts. To clarify, these are not SN links, they are internal intranet clicks within the organization.
