Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) With EMAIL

Hi,

I'm trying to configure MFA for some users.
I would like the users concerned to be able to receive their code by email. I activated the option in the properties and followed the different configuration points noted in the documentation but when connecting I always arrive on the page asking to download the app.

This page :

I would like a page like this :

Do any of you know what configuration I may have forgotten?

Regards,

Karine

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

@Karine_M After reading the documentation better, I came to know that for the FIRST time people are logging in the environment, it's mandatory for them to use the App, and after they logout and back in, they have the option to use email or sms, etc.

Do you see something wrong ?

Karine

No, looks good to me.

I tried it on my own instance as well. Only after you configured MFA with authenticator app, you will get the option to receive an email one time code.

Hi @Karine_M ,

Both the Step Up MFA policy and the Email MFA factor policy should be evaluated to be true in order to show the email OTP-based MFA. Could you please check the policy conditions for both of the policies?

Thanks,

Randheer
