Hi All,
I've got a catalog item which contains a multi-row variable set. The workflow starts which creates 2 tasks to start with. On closure of these 2 tasks as third task is created.
The multi-row variable set is being displayed on the RITM and SCTASK variable editors but is read only. This is displaying correctly after the request has been submitted. After the first SCTASK is being closed, the variables in the multi-row variable set are being cleared?
Any ideas as not sure what is causing this?
Thanks
Sam

Hi there,
Can you verify if the variables are really cleared? Or just visibly empty? Check the Multi Row Question Answer table: sc_multi_row_question_answer
Or is the MRVS variables just not shown anymore? Can you share a screenshot?
If my answer helped you in any way, please then mark it as helpful.
Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the above. Just checked the sc_multi_row_question_answer table and these are no records for this request so seem to be getting cleared.
I've been going over the request item setup and I have a UI policy setup to make the multi row variable set read only - this is set to apply only on the catalog task. I did wonder if the 'clear the variable value' was accidentally checked, but this is marked as false as I thought. 'classic_activation' is the multi row variable.
If I mark this ui policy as inactive then the values are remaining as I expect, but I can't see what I've done wrong with the UI policy for this to be having the effect?
Cheers
Sam

Hi Mark,
I checked that table. The data is there when the REQ is submitted but when I changed the state of the SCTASK to WIP then the data is removed from that table.
Kind regards,
Phonsie.

Hi Sam,
This issue has been reproduced in the instance I'm working on now. It looks like a bug to me. I've put in a ticket to HI about it and I will update here when I get more information. When I removed the UI Policy which made the MRVS read-only on RITM and SCTASK the data wasn't deleted.
Kind regards,
Phonsie
