I have a catalog request item that contains a service type selection. By choosing a service type, multiple approvers are choosen (1 - 3).
If muliple approvers are added, when the first one approves the request, the others have no way of knowing that the request has been approved. They will respond from their email notification and possibly overwrite the previous decision. Also, there is time wasted by the 2nd (and 3rd approver) not knowing that the first approver has taken action.
Having the approvers know the system well enough to go to a RITM and then go to the related lists at the bottom of the form page is not to be expected. They are responding to the email notifications sent out.
Also, the OOB approval/rejection email with comments does not have a picker to add ALL of the approvers, only the single one for the specific approval record.
Any ideas or thoughts on how to manage this better?
Thank you

Hi @kshaw ,
Use Do the following in parallel in the flow. Create a subflow that contains all your Ask for Approval actions. Uncheck the Wait option in each approval action, this ensures each one is sent concurrently, not sequentially. After that, The call your subflow from your flow. Once done approval actions will be fired in parallel and all approvers get notified immediately.
Try this once and let me know. If you find this helpful, please accept this as a solution and hit the helpful button..

That is the way the workflow is designed.
The problem is that while the workflow does advance with the first approver, the other approvers still have email notifications in their email client inboxes. They then respond via the emails and the system does respond and processes the approval as a approval or rejection. That may be the same or maybe different to the first approver.
Is there a way to have the system ignore further approval responses when the first one has already come in.
The workflow/flow has advanced so that is working but still need the system to ignore the inbound email approval from second/third approvers.

If you are sending approval to 3 users and making any one to approve, then as soon as 1 person approves, the other 2 approval records move to "No longer required" and will prevent any further update on that approval record.
Approaches
1) sequential approval is that suits your requirement
OR
2) Customize the approval notifications to notify the other approvers that RITM is already approved by other and you are no longer required to approve/reject (Note: remember by the time this email goes to that person if he/she tries to approve/reject you can't do anything here)
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
