Hi All,
We have come across an unique scenario recently, a Normal CR was requested for approval (New to Authorize state). During this time, approval state moved to "Requested".
Later the developer moved back the CR state to New to make few corrections, at that time the approval status was moved from "Requested" to "No Longer Required" and later to 'Cancelled'. The CR was again moved to Authorize state for requesting approval and the Change Management Approver was able to approve from Cancelled state.
This issue was replicable too in Lower instance. Has anyone face similar situation in the past?
If Yes, what was the solution given to restrict approvers from approving an already cancelled record?
Thanks,
Srinivasan S V

Hi @Srinivasan Selv ,
I see the Change Record was not cancelled, only the approver record state moved to cancel state, because the Change was moved back to 'New' state. However, when the Change request was moved to Authorize state, then new approvals should be triggered, and system should not allow the old approvers to edit the state of the approval record. If this is not happening, then please check what is the reason it is left editable and why new approval record is not getting triggered. I think it is OOTB. To avoid this scenario, you can keep the older approver records as read only, when the state of those records is changed to Canceled.
Please mark helpful/like if the solution is in line with your expectation.
