My content isn't appearing in the Featured News widget.

I created a news article.
I'm using the "Featured news and events" template.

However, the article isn't appearing in the "Featured news and events" widget in the Employee Center.

What's causing this?

Please make sure that plugins are up to date (ESC, Content stuff etc)

Try this URL in the end: /esc?id=cd_news_center

I have just tested myself and I do not have any issues when publishing - neither news or featured

Thanks for the answer, but on the home page i don't see the preview of the news ? 

do i need to run something or wait sometime ?

Everything is controlled in the designer - headlines, content, pictures etc.
Im not sure that you mean by "not showing" because it seems like its showing

The "News feed" widget shows news and featured news / events
"Featured News" shows only Featured news / events
