My custom fields are not visible on knowledge article view page (kb_view)

Hi!

According to the Servicenow support article (https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0724351), the "kb_view_common_footer" UI Macro needs to be changed to see the custom fields. But that macro is a high priority file type, and if altered it might generate a skipped record during the next upgrade.
Is there any other solution to this?
For example, can I create another view to use instead of kb_view.do?
