My PDI needs to be retired for a technical issue that I am not aware of? Random Technical Issue PDI

Good day!

I received this email from the ServiceNow Developer Program about my PDI. My PDI is vital for me and everything in it that I have worked so hard to do, and I do not want to lose it.

I am not sure why it says that I have technical issues. Why can't they offer help to fix it and tell me what is wrong with it instead of asking me to retire it when I need it? Would someone help me with this I am not able to get help from ServiceNow about this issue.

Thank you!

This is the email that I received:

Dear Service Now Developer,

Please save your work and release the current instance by the end of next week. The instance has technical issues and must be retired.

Thanks for being an active member of the ServiceNow Developer Program.

Best Regards,
ServiceNow Developer Team

Hi @Danielle10

Current situation in PDI is not good,so tough to commit any thing. even I heard few users get the new pdi and when they open the new PDI , it redirect to old PDI only. So better to take back up and release.

Hi @Danielle10 ,

Several persons (including myself) have received this email, hence this is exactly why you should always backup your work. Either to a repository for scoped application or export to update sets under development.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as accepted solution and give a thumb up.

best regards

Good day!

Do you know if this is still true? Once you release your instance, there is a restore instance button that you can do? Look at this link. Please and thank you. I am trying to not lose everything in my PDI... Having a hard time because I am not a developer.

Hi @Danielle10

Backing up every thing is not possible and it is very time consuming.

Identified what is important for you.

Make a list

Avoid Data Backup (if not required)

Move in update set (mainly reports / dashabords)

Hi @Danielle10 \

Navigate to the records you want to add to the update set and click Add to Update Set under Related Links. Since Dashboards and Reports are using custom UI's you will need to navigate to the record directly via the Filter Navigator: Performance Analytics Dashboards: enter pa_dashboards. list and hit enter.
