New table columns not shown in form design

I added three columns to my table, but they do not appear in the Fields tab in Configure | Form Design, even after I drop the cache, neither do they show up if I filter for them. The form design page acts as if it wants me to add the new columns from there -- but I already added them to the table. Is this normal? How do I go about adding fields to a form?

Hey Thomas,

can you check the dictionary, whether field really created on correct table or not.

Thomas,

What table did you add these on?

Adam,

They're on my custom table.

What I found is, I have to open Configure | Form Layout first, and there they appear all the way at the bottom. I have to select them and move them upward on that list, parking them where I want them to appear relative to some other field. Only then will they appear in Configure | Form Design. That's a little odd.

Thomas,

Is this table a stand alone or is this a child of another table?

The only thing I can think of is that the system had not run a full cache flush to bring the new data into view.
