Currently I have an inbound email action that creates a request. We want to turn this off so that no request is generated. We want everyone forced to use the service catalogue portal to submit requests. Turning it off is easy. But I also want to trigger an email to the email's sender providing a URL to the portal. So essentially email will say, I'm sorry no request was created but use this URL instead to get to the service catalogue. I'm sure this has been done before, but can't think of what to trigger on. Hopefully there is something existing that can be used.

Hi,
I'm not aware of this being configurable in ServiceNow. At our site we email an internal email address which is re-directed to our ServiceNow mailbox. In this case the only way to reply would be via an Out of Office on the internal mailbox, so from your own email system itself.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Carl.

I thought of doing that but all our email notifications are labelled with the same internal email address. Disabling it's functionality at the Email server will also disable replying to any of the email notifications.

I wouldn't disable it from sending/re-directing to ServiceNow - you'd still have all the emails coming to your instance, you just have the automatic message coming from your email server instead of ServiceNow.
