Ok, so I'm trying to send out a meeting invitation from ServiceNow (currently Helsinki) and I've read the guides ( ServiceNow Calendar Invites ) and done all the parts as far as I know. When ServiceNow is sending me the calendar invitation the file name is "not supported calendar message.ics" and is only 16 byte small containing something like "Ref:MSG0194832"
I found this topic and looked through it How to configure Meeting Invitation to Outlook? but even though I have done all things in that post I still get the same failing calendar invitation. I'm running out of ideas and was wondering if anyone here might have a clue on what the problem might be.
Some facts (with questions from other threads):
Running Outlook 2016
"In the user profile for the recipient check calendar integration. It should be Outlook."
"I'd recommend heading back to the sys_impex_map table and looking there. The new record you added into this table needs to be name icalendar.your_table_name . Also ensure that the fields you are referencing for dtstart and dtend are date/time fields. Not just date fields."

Let me know if you see anything obvious issues!
Kind Regards

Hello Thomas.
We haven't started using Jakarta yet so I can't really say. But I assume it's the same in Jakarta as in Helsinki that we are currently running. Are you experiencing the issue now? If so, let me know and I might be able to guide you.

We had it running in Helsinki with out any issue. Once we upgraded to Jakarta and started testing, I'm seeing that the notification type is not being honored and it is sending the notification as an email (.eml) and not a calendar invite (.ics). However if I rename the extension of the email (once it is saved to my machine) from .eml to .ics, and open it in Outlook, it opens it as a calendar invite. So something is not working correctly here.
I may have to put in a HI ticket to find out what the issue is.
Tom

Hello Thomas,
Did you ever get a feedback from HI? I have the same problem in Jakarta. Used the OOB template - same result.

I have Jakarta and just starting working on email templates/meeting reminders today.
I have the message in a template, but am still getting the not supported calendar message.ics calendar invite. Oddly enough, everything else comes across fine, subject, body etc. I can even double click the invite and get a prompt for: "you should only open calendars from sources you know and trust".
Could this be a company Outlook thing? like sort of blocking incoming meeting invites?
The second problem I have is that the start time is for right now and the end time...is the start time I have set.
All fields appear to be mapped correctly:
