My team has integrated ServiceNow with Salesforce API using an Authorization Code OAuth application registry; however, this requires explicit user interaction to generate the initial refresh token. Specifically, Salesforce prompts for user credentials when we click the Related Link "Get OAuth Token" on any REST Messages assigned to the Authorization Code OAuth Provider.
The Salesforce team is locking down access so that our service account can no longer log into Salesforce and generate OAuth tokens. Salesforce indicates JWT Bearer Flow doesn’t require explicit user interaction, so my team is interested in converting our integration to use JWT Bearer Flow.
Can anyone confirm that ServiceNow will support JWT Bearer Flow for outbound API calls to Salesforce and that this will not require any explicit user authentication after the OAuth provider is registered in ServiceNow?
