OOTB Now Components throw error in UI Framework

Hi, I'm developing a custom component using UI Framework.
When I downloaded Now components and imported in my code they threw error and my project crashed. I tried now-button-iconic, now-dropdown and now-tabs, all of them threw error. Now-button worked a month ago. When I comment out the now component's imports the project compiled but with warnings .I upgraded my dev instance to washington from vancouver 2 weeks ago. In the older project still working now-button that is connected to the same instance. Is it possible there is some problem with npm and this is why the previously dowloaded files working in the older project and the recently downloaded isn't in the new one(the new project was created before the upgrade to washington, but the now components download was today)?
