Open a new tab in our browser while we select the incident existing record?

it is possible as it comes OOB and thats the expected user experience from overall Platform perspective.

Click also works on this case, you have to use mouse middle button or scroll wheel click.

It will be opened in new tab and you don't have to use CTRL + click.

Hi,

This is not an oob setting and I would noty recommend implementing any custom way to achieve this.

As Atul mentioned there are multiple ways to do it using keyboard and Browsers options.

Unless this is *Workspace in which case it is not possible.
Or not OOB, easily possible.

Press Control button and then click on the INC record and it will always open in a new Tab.
