We have a requirement to add a link to our portal that when clicked will open the Chatbot and start a particular topic. Is there any way to do this?

The requirement is not clear. Have you tried to activate the Virtual Agent plugin? I think this is what you need

We have it installed and working, but we want to be able to open it with a link on a portal page, instead of the user clicking the circle.
