Outage notification

I have a new requirement where they want to be able to go into servicenow and fill out a couple filed.   This will then send out a notification in a predefined template.   I'm looking for the best way to do this.   I have seen a couple of other posts but they do not seem to 100% meet my needs.   I have to be able to send out to the entire company or possibly to a few departments.

Hey Brian - I am looking at this myself and am in the beginning stages. What we have so far is a 'Create Outage' button on the form which will link and create outages when they happen. Once this is done, we are having our team use the email notification option in SNOW and using a 'Quick Message' or 'Client Template' to fill in the info, as needed. If you have an AD sync, you can just add in those dlists you want to send out too, or, create your own groups or user accounts to send off to.

I am having my own issues and requirements to look into now like creating an outage, then when using the email option, I would like to auto fill the template body with my info along with the Outage info. Hope this helps some!

i.e.: Configuration Item - Type - Task Number, etc.

Hi,

I have the same requirement. I have to   send notification while beginning the outage and ending outage.

I have filled begin time is after 10 minutes and end time is after 20 mins. Wrote the condition to trigger Begin notification as Begin on current minute and for end notification End on current minute.

but those are not triggering. if I click on Begin outage Now button and End outage now button, Notifications are triggering.

Any suggestion please.

Thanks
