When configuring a module, what does the Override application menu roles
configuration option do?
A.Users with the module role but without access to the application menu access the
module
B.Self-Service users can access the module even though they do not have roles
C.Admin is given access to the module even if Access Controls would ordinarily
prevent access
D.Users with access to the application menu can see the module even if they don't
have the module role

Override application menu roles 

 

When configuring a module in ServiceNow, the Override application menu roles checkbox determines how role-based access is enforced for that module.

 

🔹 If Override application menu roles = false (unchecked)

 

1.The module inherits the roles defined on the Application Menu.

 

2.A user must:

 

Have at least one role required by the application menu, and

 

3. Have at least one role required by the module

 

This is the default and most restrictive behavior.

 

-If Override application menu roles = true (checked)

 

1.The module ignores the Application Menu’s roles.

 

2.Only the roles defined on the module itself are evaluated.

 

3.A user can see the module even if they don’t have the application menu role.

 

The answer is A
