pdf export not showing table in html field and more

Have a record that has an HTML field where a table was entered using the html table editor along with a URL, numbering  and bold formatting.   After save record, need to export to legible pdf format.   When attempted to export to PDF (portrait) using the hamburger on the record, the extract removed the table formatting along with the numbering, bolding and active URL formatting.

Anyone have ideas on how the formatting can be retained when exporting to PDF or is there another extract that can be used to retain format in a legible manner.

Hi Barb,

You can try the Printer friendly version to extract similar HTML data into a PDF, keeping most of the formatting in place.

For example, I have the Text field in knowledge article which contains HTML data, like tables, bullets, bold and underline text.

Now, you can click on the Hamburger icon on the top-right end of the header on the form and click on Printer friendly version to save the data into a PDF.

What I found is that although it does not exactly prints the table with its borders but still maintains some indentation and works perfectly keeping other formatting intact like the bullets, bold and underline characters, etc.

Let me know if this works for you.

Yes. The printer friendly version isn't in the most evident location for the average user but we should be able to build a button on the main screen. Thanks.
