PDI is for AES Creator? What do I need to do to have it show like a user with Cases, Incidents, etc

So I requested a PDI the other day and it created one for me - I did NOT get to choose the Release, etc.  but it has me as an AES Creator.  I do not have any access to install plug-ins, see Cases, Incidents, etc.  I need a regular working instance so I can troubleshoot and explore CSM, Request mgmt, etc.  Please help!
