PDI wanting me to change the admin password, that I don't have

I just went to the Developer site and clicked the button to "start building" and expected it to auto log me into my PDI. Instead it is taking me to a "/login_cpw.do" page to enforce a password change on my PDI.

Now the problem is, I never had the "current" password for the admin account; as it was never offered up and clicking the aforementioned button performed the login.

Before clicking start building on the top right you have an option to check your current instance password try to use that

This gets even more weird. I checked my inbox to see if there had been any notification concerning my PDI; and to explain the "reclaim/wipe" that had occurred. And I was out of the office on Monday, so not paying too close attention to emails. And there in my inbox was an email with this content:

Ian,

You recently requested your personal development instance: dev99854 to be "Reset and wiped". This operation has completed successfully. You are now able to login to your instance by clicking here.

Your new instance password is: yhHNjo2YX8=%

You will be requested to change this password once you successfully log into your instance.

Thanks for being an active member of the ServiceNow Developer Program.

But the thing is, I DIDN'T request this!

And I missed the small detail of it having been reclaimed 2 days ago. So now it's a case of rebuilding everything I was working on.

Same happened to me

When I gave up and used the password reset it just ignored it. I was advised to reset, couldn't do that and in the end had to release the instance and request another.

I never raised any request to initiate this. Luckily I had my instance backed up

Unfortunately I did not have any backup(s) of the work I had done there; so it's all gone.

I guess it now means I will create step by step instructions of the setup/configuration of the Live Agent/Advanced Work Assignment I was using to try and identify why it worked on a "clean" instance but not on an instance converted over from the "old" Collaboration/Connect features.

Would be useful to see that guide. We use Connect Support a lot and never used live agent or virtual agent etc. However with Polaris connect support is no longer available. Not just not supported but completely unavailable. Live agent and workspace does not give us the concept of a queue or multiple agents being able to see what is going on at any given time. This is blocking our adoption of the new experience ui.  So very interested in what you come up with.
