Personal Developer Instance is offline - please try again in a few minutes.

I've had the instance offline message against my PDI for the last 30 hours or so with no signs of it resolving even after multiple refresh instance attempts. I realise there is no support provided by ServiceNow for the PDI's any more, but the lack of update is frustrating. I don't really want to release this instance just to open another as I am working through quite a few different business applications for my current role, and need my PDI daily [dev219821]. Can anyone suggest anything else other than releasing the instance.

Hello @SuzyMac

  • There is no support available for PDI. All you can do is wait for it to wake up.
  • Patience is the key here. Even my PDI went under maintenance and became available after 2 days.
  • I would highly recommend to wait for few days more.Last option is to release the instance.

Hi @SuzyMac

I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Hi @SuzyMac ,

no, as you said "there is no support provided by ServiceNow for the PDI's ". So basic, you're down to two options:

  1. wait
  2. Release and request a fresh installation.
