Personalize List does not work

I have a form screen in the alm_facility table showing Tasks in a related list.
However, when a user without a role tries to change a column in the related list by the following procedure in the Personalize List, the change is not reflected.
(1) Select the Peronalize List button on the related list.
(2) Add a column to be displayed.
(3) It is not reflected. The same columns as (1) are still displayed.
Other related lists can be changed in Personalize List.
Why is this? Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Did you try to clear instance cache using cache.do and then logout and login again?

As an admin try to reset to column defaults and then configure the list layout
Then try to login with that user and see if this works
If not then please raise a Hi ticket
