Placeholder Text on Search

Hello! Does anyone know how to change the placeholder text color for the default search widget? I have tried updating my Theme, injecting CSS into the widget, everything... any guidance would really help. Thanks!

Hey @AnveshKumar M  thank for the reply! Does the same apply in the Employee Center? I followed your steps, and while the Placeholder text appears to change color in the Widget Editor, when I replace the widgets on the page I do not see the change.

HI @Taylor Wirth ,

Yes the same widget can be used in Employee Center too, the only difference is change the application from application picker to "Employee Center" the open the Service Portal Page designer, select page as "Employee Center Home Page (ec_dashboard)", then delete the "Homepage Search" widget and drag and drop the Widget we created by cloning in Step-2 in my previous reply.

I figured as much! Unfortunately when I follow these steps I am unable to see the Red placeholder text. It's almost like the Homepage Search widget is still referring to the default Typeahead Search widget in its Server Script? I update the Server Script though to point to my new Typeahead Search IDScreenshot 2023-04-01 at 6.54.03 PM.png

@AnveshKumar M could it be my Theme overriding this?

@Taylor Wirth

Have you ever modified the home page in portal configuration to the one other than ec_dashboard? Observe the portal configuration once.

Generally it should be a straight forward one.
