Variables for few catalogs have been updated to reference type without creating the new variables , resulting in missing data in the old RITM records. To resolve this we planned to create a new inactive variable of previous type for each of the affected variable for the affected catalog items and transfer the field values from the variables which are not displaying (type changed recently) as strings to these new deactivated variables. the deactivated variable with value should show in the RITM variable details. There are nearly 55 catalog items and 86 variables. can we do through one background script. please help.

Hi,
I don't think it is possible. The Existing RITM will still show the old variable type. Updating the m2m table may cause problem.
Thank you,
Palani

Hi Palani,
The variables in the old RITMS for which the type is changed from single line text to reference are showing blank on the RITMs. For the new RITMs those variables are showing reference type. We want to create another variable of old field type and populate the data from changed variable to this new deactivated variable.
Thanks,
Rajiv
