Portal Redirect - Not Working Everytime (SPEntryPage)

Hi All,

I have encountered a big issue regarding our portal redirect functionality before go-live.

I have set up all of the following so when a user has no role, it should always take them to the portal home page -

SPEntryPage - changed url suffix

glide.entry.first.page.script - changed value to new SPEntryPage().getFirstPageURL()

glide.entry.page.script - changed value to new SPEntryPage().getLoginURL()

glide.entry.loggedin.page_ess - created a new property found via this thread - https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_blog&sys_id=53bc6e25dbd0dbc01dcaf3231f9619b2

We have Okta set up and this is working every time, however if the user closes and opens a new tab, or refreshes it can take them to the platform UI instead but it is totally random from when you hit the portal to the below -

With the nav_do.to suffix.

Is this an Okta issue or a ServiceNow issue?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have seen these links already unfortunaltey and still having issues.

I think it may be an Okta problem, I will explore that route but if you have any other ideas or advice please let me know.

Hello Alex,

We are also facing the same issue, the redirection doesnt work always, When our end users(no role) try to login to the instance for the first time after our Service desk agents reset password for them it is redirecting them to "home.do" not the portal homepage,

we have configured SPEntryPage - changed url suffix and everything is fine but not sure why sometimes this configuration breaks
