Predictive Intelligence Training Issue in PDI

I have a Utah PDI that I loaded some data into and am trying to test out the Predictive Intelligence template for predicting assignment groups on new incidents. When I try to train it, however, I get this error, with no further clues or explanation on why it's failing. 

"Training has encountered an issue and is automatically retrying, progress will be displayed once it has started. You can cancel this training operation through the model record page."

I've tried over the last day or so, but getting the same response. Is there something I'm missing to enable this feature in my PDI?

For additional context, when I go to the classification definition for that, it shows "Training request timed out." On the advice of some older forums, I confirmed that the glide.shared_service_schedule.url property was already set correctly (tried resetting it, no change). Any ideas why my PDI would be timing out reaching the training server?
