Present approval with e-signature friendlier form in a catalog task

I have configured Approvals with e-signature. So here's what Approvals looks like when I approved:

Is there way I show the Approval in a much friendlier form?

You can use [code][/code] and put those code in the middle of those tags.
eg:    [code]<h1>Test</h1>[/code]

how are you populating the comments field?

If it's based on some integration then you can wrap the content in [code][/code] tag so that it renders as HTML
