I heard about ServiceNow from some friends and really like the platform and the direction they are headed. I have a degree in engineering and some programming experience, but have not finished my ServiceNow Developer Certification yet. What options are available?

HI @CheralynM
There is no quickest way to enter, you need to build your skill in SN. Start with admin then go for CAD. Brush up scripting skills, learn atleast 2 products of SN.

Hi @CheralynM ,
Start by learning ITSM fundamentals (Incident, Problem, Change). Use free resources like the ServiceNow YouTube channel, community blogs, and forums. Practice on a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) from the ServiceNow Developer Program.
Aim for the Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification first, then the Certified Application Developer (CAD). Expand into advanced modules like HRSD or ITOM as you grow.
If my response helped, please mark it as the accepted solution ✅ and give a thumbs up👍.
Thanks,
Anand

Hi @CheralynM
I recommend the below learning plan to the people who are recently starting to learn ServiceNow :
1. Start by understanding the ITSM and platform basics. You can go through the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator learning path on Now Learning for the same.
2. Once you are comfortable with the instance, start brushing up your JavaScript fundamentals. You can refer a YouTube from Developer Advocate Earl Duque for that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5gJtBiqcAM
3. Post this, opt for ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Learning path. Make some custom applications or extend already developed applications to get hands-on.
4. Once you have spent considerable time and efforts on the instance and you feel confident in stepping up, opt for ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist learning path in ITSM.
Thanks and Regards
