I've started using Firefox in the office as my main browser this week because of some unsolvable corruption problems with Chrome. I prefer Firefox over Safari.
I use "Show XML" multiple times a day and have noticed that on this computer when running Firefox the displayed XML window results either strip out the tags or display the XML in a single line string which isn't easily readable. When the tags display I'm having to copy and paste the XML into an editor and pretty print it.
I realize this is not a ServiceNow issue, but haven't found a Firefox solution elsewhere. If anyone else has had and solved this problem, I'd love to know what you did. Thanks!

You might have to uninstall and install the latest version of Firefox on your office computer.
Anyhow you were able to figure out the rootcause.

Hi, as a work-around you should be able to right click on the popup and 'view page source'.

For me (OP) the issue resolved itself a long time ago after re-installing Firefox.
At the time this was a problem, your suggestion to view source, is what I eventually ended up doing instead of copying/pasting to text editor/pretty printing.

Just experienced similar situation on Windows 10 x64 machine. It seems by default Firefox Developer Edition does not format XML tree to present it more intuitively, but seamlessly running it on ootb Firefox does work as intended.

Suppose it must be some kind of default browser configuration, didn't find the root cause though.
