Re-importing XML update sets and continuing to work in them

Greetings Folks.

I've come up to something new that I can't find a lot of info on so far: I've got two update sets that I had to export to XML that I was not finished working in. The reason I had to export them was that I had to clone my Dev from Prod due to a plugin/configuration of a new system that we are starting to build for another business unit.

So I closed the pair of update sets and exported them. My question is can I simply re-import the xml files and go back to work on them? or is there something else I need to do?

I get that what I did was most likely NOT Best Practice, but I was out of other options time-wise, and now I'm short on time for getting the update sets back operational so I can finish the dev-work in them for the next deadline which is in... two business days from now.

As always, I appreciate any guidance you can provide!

Cheers

A.

The best practice is to import the XML, commit it on dev and then create a new update set to capture additional changes.

Greetings Pradeep

Thank you for the feedback!

I was afraid that would be the answer. Oh well, best to get on getting on with it.
