Real time Incident Trends

I'll start off and say I am still new to learning ServiceNow and have been taking the courses provided by ServiceNow Learning.

What I am trying to create is a report/dashboard/widget that will allow me to see incidents that are created by a certain subset of teams and broken down by interval. This could just be the Top 10-15 depending on space. This I believe I know how to do and have a report created for this. The next step is where I get hung up and have tried plaing in an training instance with no success.

I want to create a line on this bar chart that shows you the average number of tickets that have come in for these configuration items per interval for that part of the day. What ideally this should show is that our team is taking a large number of tickets for a certain configuration item over the average range for say the last 15 or 30 day. We want this so that we can at a glance detect something that shows us where our incident intake volume is coming from and perhaps can start to look into what may be causing this.

I appreciate any insight anyone may have and look forward to seeing what you all may think.

Please share what you already have, because a line showing an average per interval for part of a day sounds weird without knowing what you already have.

It could be that you should simply add another dataset to the same report, but without knowing what you are working with, that could also not be the solution.

Also good to know: are you a PA Premium user or not, because maybe PA can help and we also need to know if you are already moved to the Platform Analytics Experience (PAE) or not, because there is a difference in how reports are setup between the legacy dashboards/reports and PAE.

Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.

I only have access to reports but I have other team members who can use PA. My report currently shows me incidents that are created for each hour I am attaching a screen shot below of what it looks like.
What I want to be able to see is the average number for each of these different configuration items from the last 15 days. My goal is to see that Outlook has 15 incidents created today in my 8AM hour my 15 day average for that 8 AM hour for that configuration item is 4 meaning I am seeing a higher number of calls into my service desk with Outlook issues and may have an issue with Outlook we need to get eyes on to resolve.

Hello,

You can create two different graph for the same. One can show average of what ever days you want and other one will be which you have created.
