Recent Chrome update broke ServiceNow's text highlighting

With the recent Chrome update to Version 131.0.6778.70 (Official Build) (64-bit), the texts and fields in ServiceNow suddenly cannot be highlighted. CTRL+A then copy then paste still works but highlighting texts using mouse or Shift + directional arrow does not work. I'll be submitting a ticket to HI but just starting this thread in case somebody has an insight to this.

Bill's link opens fine for me once I log in.
I would suggest reaching out to your system administrator to see if you need additional permissions on the SN Support portal (aka "HI server"). The top of the article says "Customer" so that's the role you may be missing.
If you are the system administrator, see if you can grant yourself the role or reach out to your ServiceNow account manager or put in a support case saying that you can't access KB1638823.

We saw the same problem. You can still copy and paste, but you cannot see what you are selecting. If you can pretend you see the selection working, it does indeed work and then you can copy and paste what you have selected, it works fine. It just makes no sense to your eye and hands!
We submitted a ticket to Chromium support since it started with the Chrome update.

Washington, DC patch 9 is not available until December.
The UI script isn't perfect. There are areas in the instance you still can't see your selection. For example, if you load a dashboard, you cannot see when you try and select data from the dashboard to then try and copy and paste. You can still copy and paste, you just cannot see what you are selecting when you do it....
