Record producer and catalog item in different applications

Upon trying to add a new Catalog Item, I get this message:

The 'Catalog Items Catalog' record is in application 'Employee experience taxonomy', but its 'Record Producer' parent record is in application 'Employee Center Core'. The record and its parent must be in the same application.

How do I get passed this?

Greetings!

Change the application scope to Employee center application 

or create the mentioned parent record in Employee center Taxonomy.
