Reference field shows “No records found” when using ref_ac_columns_search=true on Record Producer

Hi,

I am trying to populate Asset records based on a Product Model condition. I have configured a reference qualifier and added the following variable attributes:

ref_auto_completer=AJAXTableCompleter,ref_ac_columns=serial_number;display_name,ref_ac_columns_search=true

When ref_ac_columns_search=true is included, the reference field displays “No records found.” If I remove this attribute, the expected Asset records are displayed correctly.

Several Community posts suggest that a query_range ACL may be required. The affected user has the snc_external role. I created the ACL and tested it, but the issue still persists.

Could someone help me understand:

  • Why does ref_ac_columns_search=true prevent records from being returned?
  • Are additional ACLs or configurations required for searching the specified columns?
  • Do serial_number and display_name require field-level read access or any specific indexing?

if it's working with admin and some non-admin and not working for some other non-admin then it's access issue
