Regarding Type change

Hello i have accidentally change the idea field in demand form from reference to list. when iam trying to revert it iam getting the following error.

Type change not allowed. Invalid type conversion for field 'Idea' on table 'Demand'. Cannot convert from 'List' to 'Reference'.

How to get it back.

The platform won't let you change a column from 'list' to 'reference' field since 'list' fields are much larger in the in the database than a 'reference' field.  You can create a Support Case, and the Support Engineer can make the repair. And existing records with more that one value will have to be truncated to the 'reference' field size.

 If you modified a custom field, you can delete it and redefine it. But you will loose any existing data.
