Removal of Approval or rejection in Requested item when one is selected

Within Requested items and the Approved and Rejected i wanted to know whether there is an option to remove one of the comments if the alternate is selected.
So my scenario is when a Request is Accepted can we remove the area that says Rejection Reason and vice versa if it was Rejected could we remove the approved option within the Approval History.

It looks like these comments are coming in via email. Do you now have 2 separate links for approval and rejection on the notification?

Links are mailto links and are configured using email templates. Looks like you have both the approval link and the rejection link templates using the same email body. Just remove rejection reason from the email body for approval template.
