Remove approval for IT knowledge base

I have a requirement to remove approval for Knowledge base of type IT. How can i do it?

Hi @Hareesha ,

 

There are 4 workflows in serviceNow for knowledge -

 

 

  • Knowledge Approval Publish: This workflow routes draft articles for approval by a designated knowledge base manager before publishing. If any manager rejects the request, the article remains in draft status.

  • Knowledge Instant Publish: This workflow bypasses approval and publishes the draft article immediately.

  • Knowledge Retire Knowledge: This workflow moves a published article to the retired state, effectively removing it from public view.

  • Knowledge Instant Retire: Similar to Instant Publish, this workflow immediately retires a published article without requiring approval.

In order to remove 'Approval ' for Knowledge Base in your Condition which is 'IT' . Simple change 'Publish Workflow' and "Retire Workflow" to "Knowledge - Instant Publish " and "Knowledge - Instant Retire".

Hello,

 

If you don't want any approvals happening when a knowledge article is created under a knowledge base, then go to the knowledge base and change the publish workflow to "Instant Publish" instead of "Approval Publish".

 

This should take care of your requirement.
